SHORT BIO
Jesper Nyboe, also known as Nyboe, is a Copenhagen-based Danish vinyl DJ, crate digger, radio host, and music curator active since 2005. Known for his deep vinyl knowledge and atmospheric DJ sets, Nyboe specializes in hip hop, jazz-funk, breaks, library music, soundtracks, and rare grooves from around the world. He is the host of the monthly radio show WaxWorks on Black Rhino Radio and a winner of multiple international mixtape competitions.
LONG BIO
Nyboe began DJing on vinyl in 2005 after already establishing himself as a music writer, curator, and hip hop contributor in Denmark. Rooted deeply in hip hop culture, his approach to DJing is centered around vinyl skills, musical storytelling, and discovering music beyond the obvious.
Over the past two decades, Nyboe has performed across Denmark at clubs, cafés, wine bars, festivals, concerts, exhibitions, and hip hop jams. He is especially known for warming up international acts, playing listening-oriented environments, and creating cohesive musical journeys through carefully selected records.
Nyboe is a multiple-time winner of international DJ and mixtape competitions, including the Wax Poetics x Polaroid DJ Mix Competition and Reloop’s Mixtape Monday. His vinyl mixes and live recordings have been featured by radio shows, labels, and platforms worldwide.
In addition to live performances, Nyboe hosts the monthly vinyl radio show WaxWorks on Black Rhino Radio (Romania), featuring themed selections and international guests. He also produces vinyl DJ livestreams on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok, reaching a global audience interested in vinyl culture and curated music.
